  INTRODUCTION


Botswana is a  country made up of different tribes which are Bangwato, Bakwena, Bangwaketse, Barolong, Bamalete, Batlokwa, Bakalaka,and Basarwa. These tribes have various traditional dishes that they serve during special occasions. These dishes represent the culture of Batswana.





This image shows food cooked in pots called  (dipitsa) at a traditional food festival recently in Botswana. Many people come from far to enjoy the great taste of our food. Our food have been made famous by tourists who come to our country to see the beauty of Botswana especially the Okavango delta.
