Beans are cooked with different kinds of maize that  Botswana has.... which are setampa (Samp), lechotlho, and mmedi......

lechotlho

Lechotlho is maize that is cooked and hanged to dry after that it is pounded using  hands or other  traditional alternatives. This method was discovers back when the country harvested a lot of maize and there was some suppliers,  this was then the way to reserve the maize well.

Botswana maize is like corn but has more starch in it.
